Whitin the frame of SPIRE Project, UTM Innovation & Commercialisation Centre (ICC UTM) has successfully organised a series of UTM Intellectual Property (IP) Awareness and INNOCOMMS System Hands-on Filing Workshops throughout the year. The workshop is aimed at training UTM staff to:

i) Understand the objective of filing for IP protection.

ii) Identify the type of IP protection most suitable for their IP

iii) Identify the strategies of IP filing and its contribution to the University

iv) Submit IP protection application using INNOCOMMS System (Hands-on)

ICC is also organising a monthly INNOCOMMS System (Hands-on) workshop in our office throughout 2019 to help inventors file for intellectual property protection.
